From the countless hours I spent as a boy pulling drowning insects from my swimming pool and having push-up competitions with Bluebelly Lizards, through my years as a wildlife biologist working with Spotted Owls, I've always felt a close emotional connection with animals.

To me, photography is an opportunity to show what science cannot - that all animals share most of the qualities that we call "human."
