If you were of the kind
To think about it, you'd suppose and you'd believe
That UCSC is rich in rare and endangered species.
There could well be more rare and endangered species
On the UCSC campus than on any other campus in the nation.

On the UCSC campus that on all the other
College and university campuses in the nation put together.
It's hard to find out things like that
Even on the internet,
And it's one likelihood that campus authorities
Never want explored.
..... would be a startling thing to see in campus propaganda!

Come take a look at what we've been doing.
Maybe the campus should support
Placing more of its rare plants and creatures
On the list of federally protected species.
